Studs and Breeding

If you're interested in breeding alpacas, it's critical that you find the right stud for your females. With Zarza's help you can make your choice from the best possible sources.

It could be one of the studs we have bred - all of which come from excellent bloodlines that include Peruvian Voyager, Rural Alianza Wiracocha, Purrumbete Ledgers Dream, Purrumbete Highlander, Accoyo Don Camilio and others.It could be one of the studs that we co-own as part of our continuing efforts to improve the genetic stock. Or it could be that we need to look further afield - we'll offer you all the help whatever path you choose.

Once you've decided on the stud, you can take advantage of the comprehensive mating service we offer - either here at Redwood or on your own land. Rest assured that while they are with us your females and their crias will get the same care and attention as our own alpacas.

We use ultrasound scans to confirm pregnancy, and all mating fees include a free return to service if the pregnancy does not result in a cria living for 24 hours.
